Times Blows Another Opportunity

As you might expect, copies of today’s post-inauguration New York Times are flying off the shelves like hotcakes today, if hotcakes could be vacuum-sealed and stored in a closet for posterity eBay. At Intel editor Jessica’s local newsstand, to use one piece of anecdotal evidence, the paper was sold out before 8 a.m. this morning. And according to FishbowlNY, already the Times headquarters might be the only place with copies still available. This seems odd: We thought the Times had learned from its spectacular Nov. 5th sellout, and would print more copies this time around? Maybe they just figured selling them at Barnes and Noble, where the Nov. 5 OBAMA edition is now on sale for around and about $30, was a better racket. Clever!
