Adolfo Carrión, the former Bronx borough president and President Obama’s newly appointed urban czar, is claiming there’s a simple explanation for why, two years later, he still hasn’t paid an architect who worked on his home in 2007 and whose development project Carrión approved at around the same time. Carrión, who was billed $3,627.50 for work on his porch and balcony, was simply waiting for someone to notice the architect to file his “final survey.” He expects that to happen “shortly.” [NYDN]
