You’ve been personalizing your cover letters, attending career fairs, scouring Monster.com, making follow-up phone calls, enduring “networking” happy hours. But guess what? The competition just got stiffer: “People have been sending their CVs to our New York office saying, ‘hire me for free for six months,’” the head of sales at HDF Finance, a French fund of hedge funds, tells the Journal. “The CVs we are receiving are pretty good.
