Mayor Bloomberg may have lost the Working Families Party nomination to Bill Thompson, but do working families have billions upon billions of dollars to spend at their whim? By definition, no. Bloomberg does, however, and so far he’s burned through $36 million of it in his quest for a third term. As a basis of comparison, Hizzoner had only spent $23 million by this time in 2005. [NYP]
