It’s legal to stand on private property and strap an unconcealed gun to your leg in New Hampshire. And it’s certainly legal to hold up a sign reading “It is time to water the tree of liberty,” a reference to Thomas Jefferson’s line that “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” But when you’re doing both, and you’re at a rally near the town-hall meeting where President Obama is currently speaking, you’re kind of a menacing figure.
