The U.S. Marshals invited a number of media outlets to check out Bernie and Ruth’s East 64th Street penthouse, which goes on the market this week, and discovered that while Bernie’s OCD may have compelled him to decorate his office in only shades of black, white, and gray, at home he preferred beige. Lots of beige. The overall verdict? Hated it. “Sub-McMansion,” one CNNMoney reporter who visited wrote on the network’s website. “Dreary,” said another. But don’t take their word for it.
