The Huffington Post is currently running a banner headline that reads: “Arianna: Why Joe Biden Should Resign.” It’s a little misleading really, considering the argument that HuffPo honcho Arianna Huffington is advancing. Biden, she says, has become the White House’s chief skeptic of escalating the war in Afghanistan. So, “if the president does decide to escalate, Biden, for the good of the country, should escalate his willingness to act on those reservations.” Then what? Well, “Biden would then become the natural leader of the movement to wind down this disastrous war and focus on the real dangers in Pakistan” of course. It’s an outlandish idea, to be sure, but it’s also pretty entertaining to watch liberals bicker. [Huffington Post]
