Bernie Madoff reportedly came to blows with another inmate after a heated discussion of the stock market, according to prisoners at his jail in Butner, North Carolina. Shanks were not involved, but fellow inmates tell the Post that the septuagenarian Bernie held up well in response to being attacked, and apparently emerged the victor!
As the attacker tried to stand up straight, Madoff hovered over him red-faced and glaring, eyewitnesses said.
We can only imagine that the beatdown was accompanied by flying spittle and shouts of, “Do you know who I AM?” The two were later spotted “hanging out,” which the Post takes to mean they “made up,” but we think it’s far more likely that Bernie had just gone back to hurting in traditional ways, and was tipping the guy off to a foolproof high-yield investment opportunity for his commissary cash.
