Hackers Stand Up for Skankblogger

Yesterday, if you happened to Google “SCROLL New York” (which, why wouldn’t you?) in order to find the New York Supreme Court’s case-search page, you may have been tricked. The first search result appearing to point to the database was actually just a link to a PDF to the lawsuit against (formerly) anonymous blogger Rosemary Port, in which her identity was revealed by Google after complaints by former model Liskula Cohen. According to the Post, this switcheroo was the work of hackers defending Port’s right to privacy, even though she only wanted to remain anonymous so no one would know she wrote a short-lived blog calling Cohen a skank. This is a fight for the right to shit-talking! And those hackers. Is there no end to the mysterious wonders they can achieve with Google search results?
