Another Former Reporter Sues the Post

Austin Fenner, a former reporter for the New York Post, lost his job at the paper back on November 10th, the same day that Sandra Guzman filed a lawsuit calling the Post’s newsroom “a hostile work environment where female employees and employees of color have been subjected to pervasive and systemic discrimination and/or unlawful harassment based on their gender, race, color and/or national origin.” Now Fenner has come forward with a lawsuit of his own.

Fenner, who is black, says he was “routinely humiliated,” “openly cursed at” and the target of “Jim Crow”-style segregation at the Post. He cites his opposition to the paper’s infamous cartoon of cops shooting a chimp as part of the reason for his mistreatment. He also accuses the Post of racially motivated news coverage. A spokesperson for the paper denied the allegations, calling them “totally false” and “completely baseless.” This doesn’t look good for Rupert and friends.
