Dina Lohan told Michael Lohan that their daughter Lindsay was secretly dating doomed actor Heath Ledger, according to the latest audio files Michael has leaked to the press. In one recording, Dina can be heard telling him: “She was dating Heath when he died. I don’t know if you know that, but I know ‘cause I would drop her off and they were friends. Very, very close, okay? So that fucked her up. And right after that was when Samantha was around.”

But 2007 was actually Lohan’s craziest year, during which she entered rehab twice and was arrested after an insane car chase and busted for having cocaine on her person. The pair definitely could have dated later, and it was around that period that Lohan seems to have indeed started hooking up with Ronson. We don’t blame Dina for searching for explanations for her daughter’s reckless behavior, and it’s not like she went around telling the press about their relationship at the time. But it’s pretty clear Lohan had been the caboose of the crazy train long before Ledger’s tragic demise. Not that we spent fifteen minutes thinking about this just now, or anything.
