Despite his Hail Mary ad blitz, Governor Paterson is stuck with a paltry 21 percent approval rating, according to a Siena poll, and in the race for governor continues to lose ground to Andrew Cuomo (who is reportedly already busy mulling his running mates). Even more disheartening, Paterson is now losing to former GOP congressman Rick Lazio for the first time though, of course, that matchup is looking increasingly hypothetical. [Daily Politics/NYDN]
