Though there are many relationships that make up the structure of The Real Housewives of New York City — Simon and Alex, Ramona and Avery, LuAnn and Rosie, Kelly and her breasts — over the past two seasons, there has always been one love story that gave the show structure and durability: best friends Jill and Bethenny. The big-mouthed broads could always curl up in bed together at the end of the day with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s, talk shit about the other girls, and non-sexually dry hump their tears away. But according to this morning’s “Gatecrasher” column, that’s no longer the case!

Former BFFs Jill and Bethenny had a falling-out over the summer. “Now that Bethenny is out of the picture, Jill is definitely on team Kelly,” one source insists. It’ll be even more obvious when the N.Y.C. version of the hit Bravo series returns to the small screen. Over the past few weeks, at several different shoots for the reality show, Jill and Kelly have been filming many of their scenes together while Bethenny has been mainly shooting with Alex McCord and Ramona Singer. “The tables have definitely turned,” the source says.
Apparently, Kelly has now started kissing up to Jill, trying to usurp Bethenny’s role as handmaiden to the queen of the show. The now-pregnant natural-foods chef, in turn, now has to spend her time with Ramona and Alex, something she could only do last season if she was buttressed by a battalion of Skinny Girl Margaritas.
We can only hope, for our girl’s sake, that Bethenny is on her way to starring in her own reality show. Because we’re just not sure we can watch her fall any further.
