Yesterday, Harold Ford Jr., who is not a candidate for Senate yet (WINK), called Kirsten Gillibrand a “parakeet.” A few hours ago, Gillibrand struck back, saying, “I wouldn’t allow my 6 yr old to engage in this kind of namecalling. And HF thinks he should be Senator?” She tweeted it, however, which doesn’t help with the bird comparisons. [SenGillibrand/Twitter]
