Friday night’s “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon, organized by George Clooney and broadcast on pretty much every channel they play on the treadmill at the gym, ended up raising a whopping $57 million for relief efforts in the earthquake-devastated nation. Our favorite number was Justin Timberlake’s “Hallelujah.” But it was certainly not the only excellent performance, and the resulting album was the No. 1 seller on iTunes in eighteen countries this weekend.
