Bethenny Frankel’s new show is rumored to be called Bethenny’s Getting Married?, and Frankel has reportedly attempted to get “everything from the venue to the dress” for free by reminding vendors that they’ll be on-camera. All of the Housewives are invited to the wedding and Ramona Singer said she’s “definitely going,” but Frankel’s former BFF Jill Zarin may or may not attend.
Jesse McCartney’s ex has been sending around a photo of what appears to be McCartney naked on a bed, wearing just a candy G-string. McCartney’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, said the Greek star “did not knowingly participate” in the taking of said photo and, anyway, “it appears to have been manipulated by computer software.” Holley, who sounds like no fun, also sent out a cease-and-desist letter to websites, just in case, and the photo has yet to leak. NBC execs really wanted Jerry Seinfeld to host Marriage Ref, the show he’s executive producing, but Seinfeld is staying behind the scenes. Ke$ha was spotted flirting with D.J. Skeet Skeet at Greenhouse. Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are still dating, even though she’s been climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and he’s been filming The Social Network.
After a crowd gathered around Whitney Port, Roxy Olin, and Kelly Cutrone while they styled a shoot at Grand Central and filmed The City, the NYPD discovered that the City staff was using more cameras than authorized, and the cops pulled the crew’s permit. Troublemaker Olin argued with the police before the more even-tempered Port (a regular Ed Westwick, apparently) calmed everyone down. Oliver Stone’s son Sean is directing a film about a mental hospital. Chocolate heir George Cadbury celebrated his engagement to Catherine Langdon at Macao. Alexis Bryan Morgan, the daughter of Anna Wintour’s boyfriend, Shelby Bryan, is Elle’s new fashion director.
Tomorrow’s Law & Order episode is inspired by David Letterman’s extortion scandal, except that the Letterman character is a female daytime talk-show host with lots of secret lady lovers. Kathy Hilton’s sisters, Kyle and Kim, have reportedly joined the cast of the forthcoming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Jerry Seinfeld dined with Kelly Ripa at Minetta Tavern. Tila Tequila is seeking custody of Casey Johnson’s 3-year-old daughter, Ava. Tequila also says Joe Francis, who some believe was the secret architect behind Tequila and Johnson’s relationship in a bid to get buzz for Tequila’s Francis-backed website, was the first to tell her Johnson died. Only immediate family attended Johnson’s funeral service in Princeton, New Jersey, this week.
Jay-Z said the lyric-writing process is similar to writing newspaper headlines: “Sometimes they’re clever, sometimes they’re stupid, like ‘Tiger’s Tale.’ Actually, that was pretty clever.” He also called Kanye’s infamous VMA outburst sincere: “He believed ‘Single Ladies’ was a better video.
