A lifetime birder spotted something extremely sinister on the far Upper East Side recently: two American bald eagles, fishing around in the Hudson River. They were photographed not too far away from where US Airways flight 1549 was brought down into the water by a flock of suicide geese. You can’t tell from the picture, but we’re pretty sure if you were close enough, you’d be able to hear the maniacal cackling … [NYP]
