John McCain’s Primary Opponent Pulls a Rick Santorum

J.D. Hayworth, the conservative former congressman mounting a primary challenge to John McCain, told a Florida radio station over the weekend that the language of the 2003 Massachusetts Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriages could allow man-horse marriages as well. Amusingly, “I don’t mean to be absurd about it” is how he prefaced the comment, which, again, warned of man-horse marriages. [HuffPo]
