At the moment, the founders of the website Fabulis have ranked themselves at the top of the list, above power gays like Frank Bruni, Out editor Aaron Hicklin, and former Clinton White House adviser Richard Socarides. But the list is in flux, and will likely change more when the social-networking site officially launches. Our first reaction was: “Ugh, this is just what the city’s gay community needs: more meaningless competition and arbitrarily self-defined hierarchy.” Our second was: “New York gays are going to eat this up.” [Fabulis]
