Bart Stupak doesn’t have a monopoly on receiving wildly insane yet creative threats and insults. Democratic congresswoman Betty McCollum of Minnesota received an envelope that contained an unwrapped but unused condom, along with a note that read, “Betty McCollum you’ve been dry f***** by the liberal party.” She was also sent a piece of a shredded American flag soaked in gasoline to symbolize “the stench you’ve brought to our government.” Opening mail at the McCollum office has never been so unpredictable, scary, and weird.
