This monstrosity of a sandwich is what Senator Chuck Schumer’s staff calls the Schumwich. It’s his fave. The ingredients are roast beef, banana peppers, pickled jalapeños, extra onions, extra tomatoes, two layers of pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard on Italian bread. And if staffers don’t get it right, they can prepare for a tongue-lashing. Schumer is serious about his extra pickles and has been known to yell at aides: “Did you ask for extra pickles? Did you watch them put them on, or did you not focus on it?” Scary. [NYP]
