Glamour and New York Magazine were the big winners at tonight’s National Magazine Awards, considered the preeminent awards ceremony of the magazine world. Glamour took the top prize of Magazine of the Year for its print and digital efforts, while New York won four, the most of any publication, for best personal service feature (“For and Against Foreskin“), best leisure interests piece (guide to Neapolitan-style pizza), best magazine section (“The Strategist”), and general excellence. Other winners for general excellence (which is given to several magazines with different circulation sizes) included: National Geographic, Men’s Health, GQ, Mother Jones, and San Francisco. [NYT]
