A gasoline can rigged to explode with the opening of a door was found in a vacant ground-floor pizza store this morning after the building’s owner went downstairs to check the meters. The entire block was evacuated and authorities say the bomb could have “leveled the building plus the two apartment buildings on either side” had it not been defused. The Department of Homeland Security says the attempted bombing isn’t terrorism-related, and police think it has something to do with a “personal grudge.” That’s some grudge.
