Toyota Is More Popular Than Either Party

A new WSJ/NBC News poll shows the Republican Party “in position for a strong comeback in November’s mid-term campaign,” The Wall Street Journal trumpets today. And while it’s true that the GOP is set to see huge gains in the House and Senate, it’s not because people actually like the GOP or its alleged ideas. Among voters who want Republicans to win control of Congress, a mere 31 percent say it’s because they support the Republican Party and Republican candidates, while 64 percent say it’s because they oppose President Obama and the Democrats. Really, neither party is impressing voters right now. You can tell because Toyota, the company with a reputation for making cars that don’t brake, is viewed more positively than either of them.
