early and awkward

Congressman Bob Etheridge Grabs Anyone Who Asks Him a Question

Why did North Carolina representative Bob Etheridge flip out on a young conservative reporter/student who confronted him about the “Obama agenda” on a Washington street? Probably it’s that grabbing people is just his automatic response to being asked any unsolicited question. According to a man who, as a high-schooler, experience Etheridge’s peculiar conversation style firsthand:

[Brad] Leslie said he introduced himself to Etheridge and asked him about his stance on a particular education program. He said Etheridge didn’t answer his question, so he pressed him two more times.

This has to be awkward on the campaign trail, no?

Hi, Congressman, what do you think about climate change?”

RESPECT YOUR ELDERS!” [shake shake shake]
