A group of five American men — all Muslim, all in their 20s, and all from the Washington, D.C., area — was convicted of criminal conspiracy and funding terror groups in Pakistan. According to e-mail records revealed in court, the men plotted attacks in Pakistan — though the father of one of them said they were in the region to do humanitarian work. Ramy Zamzam, Aman Hassan Yemer, Ahmed Minni, Waqar Khan, and Khalid Farooq will serve their sentences in Pakistan. Back in February, the group claimed to have been tortured by the FBI and Pakistani police. Relatives have vowed to appeal the ruling in an international court.
