Just the other day, Intel Chris noted the depressing resurgence of suspected murderers Joran van der Sloot and John Mark Karr — and now Drew Peterson, another suspected murderer who has long held a public fascination, seems to be back in our lives as well. Currently in jail and and awaiting trial for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, Peterson allegedly told an inmate yesterday how he killed his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson (not to be confused with Laci Peterson, the woman tragically murdered by her husband Scott Peterson in 2002), with the help of an accomplice. According to TMZ, the inmate then led authorities to Peterson’s alleged accomplice who told the sheriff’s department exactly where Peterson’s body is buried, at a private hunting ground just outside Peoria, Illinois, and the state police will begin digging today. The suspected murderer has often been noted for his loud mouth and media mongering. [TMZ, CBS News]
