After All That, Charlie Rangel Might Just Get a Little Slap on the Wrist

Apparently it takes a lot of ethical violations to really make an impact these days. Though he’s being charged with thirteen different counts of ethical misconduct, the four-person subcommittee that investigated Charlie Rangel’s activities has suggested merely a House reprimand as his punishment. This is only a recommendation, however; an eight-person subcommittee conducting Rangel’s trial can reach a different conclusion, and the full House would have to vote on it. [WP]
