The company’s quarterly profit jumped 78 percent due to brisk initial sales of the iPad and the iPhone 4. And Apple also revealed a “strong forecast for the current quarter,” indicating that any issues posed by the iPhone 4’s antenna problems aren’t significantly impacting sales. “My phone is ringing off the hook from people that want more supply,” the company’s operating chief said.
