It will probably come as a surprise to no one that Monday’s optimistic report from BP about the potential end of the oil spill now seems like it may have been a bit premature. The pressure test on the newly installed cap — scheduled to begin Tuesday — has been delayed, U.S. officials said Tuesday night. Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen said the testing process “may benefit from additional analysis that will be performed tonight and tomorrow.” [Reuters]
