Even though seepage has been detected from the ocean floor near the Deepwater Horizon oil well, indicating that the well may be leaking oil underground, the U.S. government has said that BP can continue its two-day pressure test on the current cap that seems to be effectively blocking spillage oil into the Gulf of Mexico. So far, there is no plan to reopen the cap to relieve pressure underground. [NYT]
