Edward Pemberton has been arrested after robbing two Chelsea banks by demanding money while holding flowers. Twice this tactic was weirdly successful, but it was the flowers that gave him away in the end, when cops fingerprinted the pink paper that had wrapped the chrysanthemums and baby’s breaths, identified him, and found him in Bed-Stuy. He had fourteen previous arrests, mostly drug related. So maybe not a great catch, after all, despite the chivalry. [NYP]
