Harlem Man Who Set New Bullet-Wound Record Hit With Weapons Charges

Last week, an alleged gunfight between two men in Harlem, Angel Alvarez and Luis Soto, led to gunfire from police that left Alvarez with a record-breaking 23 bullet wounds. Now Alvarez has been hit with three counts of weapons possession and held without bail. Thus far, however, he hasn’t been charged with attempted murder, reportedly because the witnesses who say he shot police officers are other cops, who have not yet agreed to waive immunity and testify.
