That’s what “Page Six” is reporting, having heard that Meredith Vieira is itching to leave her post as Couric’s replacement in order to spend more time with her family. Couric’s CBS Evening News contract is up in May and “Page Six” hears that she’d been talking over a return with NBC-Universal CEO Jeff Zucker. Now that Zucker’s gone, though, she may just have to stay at CBS and swallow a smaller paycheck. [NYP]
