Baptist bishop Eddie Long, an openly homophobic pastor sued last week by four young men who say he coerced them into having sex with him, returned to his megachurch pulpit in Georgia this morning. (He denied the charges against him in a statement last week.) He told his congregation: “I’ve been accused, I’m under attack. I want you to know, as I said earlier, that I am not a perfect man. But this thing, I’m going to fight. I feel like David against Goliath, but I’ve got five rocks and I haven’t thrown one yet.” Oy. [NYDN]
