Google continues to taunt us in anticipation of its Wednesday “search event” in San Francisco. After the bouncing-ball logo aided our collective procrastination efforts for a day, the Google homepage now features a new logo that changes color as you type. The doodle starts out as gray and — as one begins typing a search query — the color returns to the logo. Tech sites like Mashable and TechCrunch are interpreting this to mean the Wednesday announcement will have something to do with a “real-time search overhaul” involving “search results that change as you type.” It’s safe to say no one in Silicon Valley anywhere is going to be able to sleep tonight.
