Newt Gingrich Has Figured Out Obama

When not warning about the “Talibanization” of America, Newt Gingrich moonlights as a garden-variety Republican, invited onto Sunday shows as a party elder and “visionary.” He makes relatively straightforward, if partisan points. On Fox News Sunday today, for example, he said the party would do better in the fall than they did in 1994, when they won a record 54 seats. (The main reason? Charlie Rangel.) He also pushed for tax cuts.

But don’t worry, he can still flirt with the limits of acceptability. In an interview with National Review Online, he touts a recent article that accused Obama of having what Gingrich called a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” worldview.

“What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?” Gingrich said. “That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.”
