The One Thing Your Apartment Is Missing

Have you ever surveyed your living room, with all its furniture and wall hangings and other adornments, and thought to yourself, “What would really tie this all together is a copper casting of the State of Liberty’s nose”? We’ve probably all been there at some point. Unfortunately, such an item was never available … until now. Last week the Post reported that Guernsey’s Auction House would be auctioning off, on September 24, “a copper chunk of nose, crafted to fit Lady Liberty’s face during her 1980s restoration,” and now, we have the photo. It’s only fifteen and a half inches high by seventeen inches wide, so not as huge as you might expect. But that’s a good size for, we don’t know, a coffee-table conversation piece. And we’re guessing this is something people will ask about.
