President Obama will travel to India in November, but one place he may not be going, despite his original intentions, is the Golden Temple — the “spiritual center” for Sikhs. This is because, in accordance with tradition, Obama would have to cover his head in order to enter the temple, and the White House, quite rightly, believes that any photo of Obama wearing any kind of ethnic head covering will fuel the already persistent “Obama is Muslin” conspiracies.
