Stephen Colbert Walks Off The View

After confronting Barbara Walters over not including him on her annual “10 Most Fascinating People” pre-Oscar specials, Stephen Colbert engaged the ladies of The View in a conversation about his “Rally to Keep Fear Alive” today. Eventually, of course, the chat turned to Bill O’Reilly, who Colbert calls “Papa Bear,” and the episode last week during which View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off the set. (They objected to O’Reilly’s statement that “Muslims killed us on 9/11”). “You understand, Bill was talking about emotion,” he said “Bill was not talking about what the facts were, Bill was talking about what felt right. It feels wrong. That’s what my rally is about. ‘It feels wrong.’” And then, after slicing right to the heart of the issue, he got up and stormed off stage for no reason.
