Republican challenger Dino Rossi conceded with 82 percent of the vote counted and Murray holding a two-point lead. This leaves the craziness in Alaska — Sarah Palin’s handpicked tea partier versus a Republican incumbent turned write-in versus some Democratic dude named Scott — as the only undecided Senate race. Democrats now have 51 seats in the Senate.
It may seem like a tough loss for Rossi, but it’s not nearly as bad as the gubernatorial race in 2004, which he lost by 133 votes.
