For good reasons — including his Hispanic ethnicity, an electoral map game-changer — Rubio is seen as a future star of the GOP. Just ask South Carolina senator and tea-party patriarch Jim DeMint. “Marco Rubio is a natural leader and is likely to be a leader of our party,” he told the Weekly Standard. “In five years, no one will remember Jim DeMint, and Marco will be president.” Wait, in 2015 Rubio will already be president?
