Talk Box: Sarah Palin Trashes Katie Couric, Swears Off Interviews With Her

Last night, rumored 2012 White House hopeful and subduer of halibut Sarah Palin made it perfectly clear that if she were to run for president, she won’t be doing any one-on-one interviews with Katie Couric. Palin told Fox News’s Sean Hannity that she swears not to speak to the CBS anchor again, calling her “biased” and saying it would be a “waste of my time.” Let’s hope, if Palin does run, that Couric finds herself moderating one of her presidential debates. Oh, the sweet drama. While Palin was swatting away at softballs on Hannity, the rest of cable news seemed to be totally convinced that she’ll be running for president. Jonathan Alter and Matt Lewis both thought that Barbara Bush’s snarky jab at Palin on Larry King translates into Jeb Bush leading David Frum’s terrified Republican establishment against the mavericky rogue, while Pat Buchanan and Chris Matthews agree that Palin will wrap up the nomination with almost certain wins in Iowa and South Carolina. This scenario brought joy to Mother Jones’s David Corn, who believes such a thing would guarantee an Obama reelection. Watch our compilation to see what you missed.
