Nary a scrap of Lycra could be found at the Big Apple Tweed Fall Ride in Brooklyn on Sunday. “Cyclists are expected to dress in traditional British cycling or vintage attire, particularly tweed. Any bicycle is acceptable on the Tweed Ride, but classic vintage bicycles are encouraged.” Aficionados gathered for a leisurely ride that started at Grand Army Plaza and passed through Park Slope and Boerum Hill before finishing with tea and scones at Flatbush Farm.
