Less than a week after an all-out rumble with punches and chairs and tridents broke out in the Ukrainian parliament, another crazy, yet more disturbing incident took place in the Romanian parliament today. As the prime minister spoke, state television employee Adrian Sobaru, reportedly distraught over steep salary cuts for government workers, jumped from a balcony 22 feet high, smashing into the tables and seats below. He suffered injuries but is expected to be okay, and reportedly chanted “freedom” as he was taken away by medical workers. Perhaps the weirdest part of it all is how half the people in the room didn’t even seem to react. Does this happen often?
