Such are the perils of delivering as memorable a quote as “Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me. Sexually it was crazy. That’s all I’ll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm” that John Mayer, who uttered that evocative phrase about his special time with Jessica Simpson, will likely spend the rest of his life trying to top it. According to the Post, one such attempt was made at Wicker Park on the Upper East Side recently. Mayer, who was there with College Humor’s Ricky Van Veen was approached by a young woman. Midway through what we imagine was an encounter that moved pretty quickly from titillating to regrettable, Mayer claimed that he could see her future. “He said that she was going to make someone very happy one day, as long as she remembered to talk dirty while having sex.” So Mayer won’t do events because they’re “too Gossip Girl,” but he’s happy to attempt a low-rent Chuck Bass?
