New York’s state Supreme Court ruled against a lawsuit from the United Federation of Teachers to redact names of 12,000 New York City teachers from the Teacher Data Reports, which “measure a teacher’s effectiveness based on how good she is at improving her students’ test scores from the beginning of the year to the end.” The judge didn’t buy the union’s argument that releasing the names was an unlawful invasion of privacy.
