Highest-Ever Percentage of New Yorkers Favor Legalizing Gay Marriage

According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, a record 56 percent of New Yorkers believe same sex couples should be legally allowed to marriage. (This is an improvement of five points from a year and a half ago). Only 37 percent remain opposed, with the remainder undecided. Meanwhile, RFK Jr. has added his voice to the Human Rights Campaign’s video project on the issue, saying that his father, were he still alive, “would be leading the charge for marriage equality in New York.” [Scribd/Quinnipiac]
