Jets Play Defense Against Favre-Suing Masseuses

If it’s not one sexual-harassment case against a past-his-prime quarterback, it’s another. The Jets fielded their “prevent” defense late Tuesday against Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole, two ex-massage therapists for the team who say they were fired after rebuffing Brett Favre’s sexts. “The case against the Jets is completely without merit, and we look forward to defending the matter in court, where we are confident that the Jets will prevail,” the team told reporters in a statement — a statement that was far less exciting than the (maybe) future Hall of Famer’s alleged text messages:

Daily Intel brought you the play-by-play earlier Monday:

Scavo and O’Toole, who are suing Favre and the team, claim that after complaining to Favre, another team therapist said they’d “never work for the Jets again.” Which would be incredible, if not for that other Favre sexting thing, and Coach Rex Ryan’s alleged marital foot-fetish tapes.

In unrelated Jets news, Joe Namath is still sorry.
