The Illinois Supreme Court has granted Rahm Emanuel’s request to stay the ruling of the Appellate Court that kicked him out of the mayoral race yesterday. So for now, at least, his name will once again be printed on the ballots. The final say still rests with the Supreme Court, but NBC’s John Yang reports that the stay is “a strong indication that the court will accept the case and, perhaps, of which way the justices are leaning.” [Sun Times, MSNBC]
